- Comgateway - One of the cheapest way to ship your shopping from US (only). Great customer service, fast processing and very nice website experience. It allows you to earn points from your previous shoppoing so that you can offset your future ones. After 3 shipments, you'll be upgraded to Gateway Prime for longer hold period and faster shipping. One thing to note is that they will open up all your packages for inspection of prohibited items.
- Hopshopgo - A collaboration between Comgateway and Paypal. It gives you a 10% off base shipping charges. Only requirement is that you have to use Paypal to login and to pay. I am currently using this. My account seems to be on the Gateway Prime level but there are no more reward points. So far, very happy with this so I'll stick to it for a while.
- Borderlessbuys - Another collaboration between Comgateway and Amex. More reward points, more krisflyer miles, free upgrade to Gateway Prime, express shipping etc. I used this for a short time and the experience is exactly the same as vanilla Comgateway.
- Borderlinx - Covers US and Europe. Have not use this before so I cannot say much about it. Not as low cost as Comgateway for US shipments but not as expensive as vPOST. If you have any experience on Borderlinx, do let me know.
- vPOST - The mother of all freight forwarders in Singapore. Covers US, Europe, Japan and China. I used to use vPOST exclusively until they kind of screwed up one of my shipments. It was "missing" for over 2 weeks and they found out that it was still in their US warehouse! The bad thing about vPOST is that once you send a shipment to Singapore, it will literally "disappear" until it turns up on your doorstep. The tracking is non-existent! But the good thing is that they are using SingPost's proprietary shipment method so for certain items that you ship like DVDs and Blu-rays, they do not go to MDA for validation and censorship treatment, unlike Comgateway (not sure about Borderlinx though). Until the last time I use them (years ago), they do not open up packages for inspection at all.
